2008 RYLA and Young RYLA Calendar March 1st Deadline update the RYLA web site with the numbers of RYLA and Young RYLA conferees you would like to send (requesting slots). March 15th Deadline for final payment to the registrar to reserve your number of conferees attending this year. March 31st Deadline for the RYLA Registrar to notify Rotary Club reps as to how many conferees you will be able to send. In the unlikely event that you cannot send as many conferees as paid for, the balance can be refunded to your club, or you may sponsor conferees from other clubs. March 1– May 1 Candidate application and selection process. May 15 Deadline for Rotary clubs to submit signed applications to the registrar. Be sure to keep a "waiting list" of those you would like to send but who didn't fit in your number of slots. Potential conferees' schedules change, and additional slots tend to open up! June/July Introduce the students you have selected at a Rotary meeting. July 13, 2008 RYLA Conference Conferees arrive at the YMCA in Estes Park between 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. It is the responsibility of the sponsoring Rotary club to make sure the candidate has transportation to and from the conference (club member, parent, etc.) July 27, 2008 Young RYLA Camp Campers arrive at Ponderosa Retreat & Conference Center in Larkspur, CO between 2:30 - 4 p.m. It is the responsibility of the sponsoring Rotary club to make sure the candidate has transportation to and from the camp (club member, parent, etc.) August-September Invite students back to club for their report
